What is an ESOP?

An Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) is an ownership model in which company employees have partial or full ownership of the value of the company, collectively. The benefits of ownership are typically considered part of a wealth development and/or retirement benefit strategy for the employees. OwnersEdge is a 100% ESOP-owned company. Partial ESOP ownership was initiated by the company's founders in 1995 and three years later, full 100% ESOP ownership was established through stock transactions. Each year the value of the stock is established and reflected in each employee's participant account.
