Asche & Spencer Joins OwnersEdge

Waukesha, Wis. (October 7, 2021) – On September 30, Asche & Spencer, a Minneapolis-based, technology-forward music production business, joined OwnersEdge as an operating company and all of its employees became part of the OwnersEdge employee stock ownership plan (ESOP).

Asche & Spencer has studios in Minneapolis and Los Angeles where the company writes, records, produces and mixes world-class music. It is known for its high-end production and has created music for Oscar-winning feature films, award-winning international television commercials and a variety of other media platforms. In addition to its superior production capabilities, Asche & Spencer pioneered a first-of-its-kind searchable online database that allows its clients to easily access its music collection, sync a song with video and safely save the unpublished piece privately.

The recent acquisition is the second OwnersEdge has made outside of Wisconsin. In 2019, the ESOP holding company added two Minneapolis-based businesses – Rhino Communications and Infinity Wireless. Rhino was merged into Baycom Inc., an existing OwnersEdge portfolio company, and Rhino was rebranded as Implecho.

Reardon established OwnersEdge in 2015 as an ESOP holding company to provide revenue stream diversity and greater returns for its employee owners. In the past six years, she has led OwnersEdge through seven acquisitions, growing the company to $100 million in revenue.
